On March 12, 2024, we delivered 2 emergency vehicles destined for Ukraine. Both second-hand vehicles have been refurbished and prepared by the ITURRI Maintenance Services team (IMS) to ensure their proper functioning.
The first vehicle is a 4,000-liter water fire truck with a GODIVA pump capable of 3,000 liters per minute, a front monitor, and a supply of hoses and rescue and extinguishing materials, built on a MAN 4×4 chassis, which is 10 years old.
This vehicle’s final destination is the city of Poltava, just 100 km from the Russian border, where firefighters will be able to use it to assist the Ukrainian population, which has been heavily affected by bombings and Russian attacks.
The second vehicle is a Mercedes van that has been used for years as a mobile maintenance workshop by the ITURRI team (IMS) and has been refurbished for the transportation and distribution of materials by the Spanish Center in Ukraine. It has also been equipped with a removable stretcher for the potential transportation of injured individuals.
Both vehicles will be transported by volunteers from the Spanish Center in Ukraine, based in Lviv, who will drive the fire truck to Poltava.
The Ukrainian Ambassador to Spain, the Spanish Center in Ukraine, and the ITURRI team accompanied us during the small key handover ceremony, where we collectively reiterated our commitment to supporting and showing solidarity with the Ukrainian people.
