ITURRI Foundation collaborates with COANIQUEM on its burn prevention campaign, featuring the cat Santi. This educational initiative aims to teach children and their families about the dangers of burns and how to avoid them, using a playful and accessible approach. COANIQUEM, an organization dedicated to the rehabilitation of burned children, has developed a series of educational materials where Santi, along with his friends Camila and Lucas, shows everyday situations where burns can occur. Through videos and interactive activities available on the Club Santi platform, children learn in a fun and effective way to stay safe in their environment.
COANIQUEM, the Corporation for the Aid of Burned Children, has rehabilitated more than 135,000 children in Chile and Latin America in its over 40 years of history. This organization not only provides free, high-quality medical care but also conducts prevention programs and professional training throughout the region. More than 500 healthcare professionals have been trained in its comprehensive approach, implementing COANIQUEM’s model in their local health centers. COANIQUEM’s impact extends to 20 countries in Latin America and the Caribbean, where its prevention campaigns and rehabilitation programs have made a significant difference in the lives of thousands of children and their families.
