Valencia’s DANA: Still Working Months Later

Following the floods caused by the DANA storm in Valencia in October 2024, we continue to support those working on the ground to care for people in the most vulnerable situations. We are currently carrying out two actions in collaboration with the Red Cross in Valencia:

1) We have donated 4 stair-climbing evacuation chairs for people with reduced mobility who still do not have repaired elevators in buildings affected by the DANA. So far, the Red Cross has already carried out evacuations for over 3,018 individuals, many of whom still rely on this service to reach the outside.

2) To help reactivate small businesses impacted by the DANA, we have decided to donate protective equipment (PPE, gloves, boots, etc.) worth €100,000 through our online platform. This donation will help protect 1,670 workers from small local businesses.

📷 In these images, Red Cross personnel in Valencia are seen evacuating people with reduced mobility from apartment blocks using the stair-climbing chairs donated through our Emergency Fund.

⛑️ We are proud to collaborate with the Red Cross in such essential actions, where every resource counts to improve the response in extreme or urgent situations.

We keep working—no one should be left behind 🤝
