Since the onset of the tragic floods caused by the DANA, our colleagues at ITURRI Valencia have worked tirelessly to support both emergency services and those affected.
In coordination with the Spanish Red Cross and local authorities, thousands of personal protective equipment (PPE) items such as gloves, water boots, work pants, coveralls, and safety footwear, as well as essential supplies like sheets, towels, and blankets, have been distributed.
Additionally, our colleagues from the ITURRI Maintenance Services Division (IMS) have been on the ground continuously, ensuring that emergency vehicles could remain operational and ready for rescue and assistance tasks, supporting the fire departments, services, and emergency units that have faced this catastrophe.
Earlier this year, at ITURRI Foundation, we created an Emergency Fund to act quickly in disaster situations, allocating a portion of our annual budget to support emergency services and the affected population.
Since the beginning of this disaster, we have supported firefighter NGOs mobilized in Valencia (BUSF, BSF, GIRECAN, EREC among others), who have carried out rescue, debris removal, and direct assistance to those affected, especially crucial in the early days.
Our deepest gratitude, admiration, and strength to all Valencians, our colleagues at the Valencia delegation, and all emergency services for their support and tireless work.
For a safer and more sustainable world for everyone, now more than ever. Strength to Valencia! We are with you.
