We share with you the activities we have carried out this Christmas, with the help of our colleagues at ITURRI, as part of our Social Action line of proximity:
Collection and donation of toys for children: More than 180 toys have been collected among colleagues from various ITURRI delegations, which were distributed to Ukrainian children and other vulnerable groups, thanks to the support of entities such as Cooperación Internacional in Seville, Red Cross in Barcelona, and an orphanage for children in Poland. Additionally, 60 educational and board games were distributed to children from disadvantaged neighborhoods in Seville through the PRODEAN Foundation that supports them in their educational process.
Donation of milk and Christmas sweets for 170 families: In collaboration with the Spanish NGO Cooperación Internacional, which helps these families in need in areas near our headquarters, 1,050 liters of milk and 170 boxes of Christmas sweets were distributed. The sweets distributed were made in convents in various parts of Spain, thus also helping the most needy nun communities.
Solidarity breakfast with the elderly: On December 26th, a group of ITURRI volunteers shared a Christmas morning of sweets and carols with a group of elderly people from the PRODEAN Foundation in the Los Pajaritos neighborhood of Seville, brightening these days for seniors in situations of unwanted loneliness.
From the ITURRI Foundation, we wanted to collaborate to make Christmas a special period for everyone, contributing to making these holidays a time to share and enjoy together.
